EPFP Learning Team Sessions

May 9, 2016
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Kellogg Center, MSU

Each of the Michigan EPFP Fellows participates on a learning team that is created around their learning priorities and objectives. The learning teams are comprised of 4-6 members and they attempt to represent the diversity of the program's participants. The learning teams work as cross boundary groups to explore topics of mutual interest. Each learning team is responsible for developing one of the seminar presentations during the program year. The learning teams use multiple presentation formats, resources and learning styles to address the topic or theme selected by the group's members. Participation on a learning team provides enhanced networking opportunities and the development of collaborative skills. This year, several of the EPFP learning teams have been inspired by the State Superintendent's charge to make Michigan a top 10 state in 10 years.

The Michigan EPFP Program

The Michigan program is designed to provide a forum for exploring public policy issues, link participants to key figures who shape and influence the process, and develop new leadership skills for education and community leaders. The Fellows meet monthly for seminars, presentations, workshops, interactive learning, and leadership development activities. This agenda is addressed through three program strands which have continued to evolve since the inception of the program in 1975. Policy Fellows also participate in two national meetings, the Leadership Forum and the Washington Policy Seminar. The Michigan EPFP site is affiliated with The Education Policy Center at Michigan State University.  Please click any of the links below to learn more about the Michigan EPFP.
